Yassou is all about joy, gratitude, and celebration.
The brand name chosen is more used as an informal greeting, though its a multi-purpose term that can be literally translated as “your health”. Often used as a cheering expression, this word seemed a perfect choice for this brand.
Visually the joyfulness and sense of the feast is highlighted by the choice of two signs. The open palm symbolized openness and communication. The solar sign placed in the middle of the palm symbolizes warmth and joyfulness.Using these two signs together was a solution to making the brand promise as straightforward as possible. “Yassou”`s character is welcoming and uses an eternal sign system, which could be easily understood and perfectly matched this character.
We added a human touch by choosing a hand-drawn logo. This, even more, underlined the extroverted character of this brand. The walls with hand-drawn imagery remind of palace frescoes, showing that this is not a just place for two but a venue for small and bigger gatherings.
The choice of color palette and general direction of the aesthetics avoided the cliched perception of the Mediterranean interior, more focusing on the ritual of celebration.
Colors and textures here create an atmosphere of elegant banquets for urban Gods and Goddesses. This fancy twist on the Mediterranean aesthetic gently brings a different mood to gastro-entertaining life of the city.
