Bergman&Woodz Furniture Brand Identity Design

Bergman & Woodz is a furniture manufacturer based in Yerevan that stands out by its ability to carve unique pieces of high quality furniture using state-of-the-art Italian equipment. Given their expertise in quality furniture making, we thought it to be essential for their entire brand identity to depict the high level craftsmanship and meticulous approach to making furniture in adherence to the highest European standards. Bergman & Woodz was named so to highlight that this is a brand that values traditional craftsmanship and is longing for the contemporary. We found inspiration in the German word ‘bergman’, meaning ‘miner’, since it simultaneously conveys a certain level of quality, as German manufacturing is world-renowned for its high quality and references the origin of the many components used in crafting furniture pieces. Meanwhile, to highlight that wood is the material of choice, we opted for a more simplistic and straightforward name with a modern twist, we settled at Woodz. Subsequent logo design intertwined the name component initials.
